Just curious, did you register on this forum just for this question?

The title is probably embedded in the file. I just dont have any clue how to change this in Logic.

I am not aware of any Mutable Instr. projects using the LT1026 (he does use the LT1054 a lot). Looking at the datasheet of the LT1026 with 5 Vin you will get to max 6,5-7V out. So that would not be feasible. The simplest (and yet most expensive options) are the Traco TEN3 and the Recom RS3 units. They can convert 5V to +/-12V and still deliver 125mA. @NorthernLightX, For audiophile powersupply options, the LM317 is a better option then the LM78xx series. But there are better options available.

I am currently constructing a PSU for my MB6582 unit. The PSU will consist of a Meanwell RPT60 with a LM2596 circuit to make the required 9 Volts. I already have a DIN7 connector, just need a proper cable to go from the PSU to the MB6582. I feel a bit silly, but i am unsure what kind of cable to use for this. I could use a 4 core 230Volt cable for this, but that would be overkill and also would be way to thick. However i don't seem to be able to find anything that fits the bill. Any suggestions would be helpfull.

IC3 is the 78L05 power regulator. If you measure 6V on the output leg (the leg nearest to the power connector) then there is something wrong. I would double check all the components in that area for correct placement (C3, C5, IC3, X1) If everything is placed correct and you say you have seen magic sparkles, then you probably short circuited something. My recommendation is to replace the 78L05.

You will prob need to add parts. Like a big 5W resistor :wink:

Ik heb al een ikea Rast kastje met 8U en er ligt nog eentje in de berging :wink: Je hebt wel gelijk denk ik. Alleen sommige zaken lenen zich meer voor een desktop model (SEQ) daarnaast is al het midibox spul niet standaard afgestemd op een modulaire voeding (+/-15V) Maar de uiteindelijke oplossing tegen GAS is natuurlijk stoppen met nieuwe projectjes starten en zaken afmaken :D

Ja zit hier met hetzelfde probleem. MB6582, MBFM, SEQ4L en daarnaast dan nog wat non MB projectjes (TR9090, TM3030 en TR808 clone)

Ik had je berichtje gezien. Maar vanwege werk niet beschikbaar tot na de kerst, dus het had even geen zin om het aan te bieden.

I can only comment from my point a view. It's fairly easy to build castles in the sky. This would be ideal and if i improve on that....then it would be even better. But in the end it is about using the thing. It is a bloody waste to have something like this sitting on the shelve. And it will also give you a hands on experience. Maybe you are quite comfortable with wilbas cs! If not it will be a good lesson where to improve. At least then your next starting point is a usuable situation instead of something which lies in pieces on the shelf :wink: But i am pretty sure you already knew this...

I think Seppoman is the only one with the schematic file in Eagle. Copying it from the pdf is probably the best option and not that much work i think.

Just a suggestion, since FM based synthesis is hard to edited manually, wouldn't it be a good idea to design a frontpanel control later? first let people try like thru Lemur preset what is working? I think this is the reason why Thorsten's MBFM frontpanel is quite minimal in comparison to MBSID. FM is not like an analog synth where parameters make sense, you will have more chance of having a nice patch by using the random patch generator.

Is your computer properly grounded?

The mois_tables.inc referes to setup_midibox16e.asm for setup of encoders. Since it is already setup for 16 encoders i don't think you need to change anything.
