  1. No argument here. It's just the logo that went well with the old forum layout. I think Twin-X just did a quick update of the forum software and didn't have time to adjust the logo.
  2. If you looked at the link to the NXP website, partnumber OM13000,598 has as a description: LPCXpresso Board for LPC1769. NXP also sells the EA LPCXpresso BaseBoard. Personally i don't think there are two different boards with the same name called LPCXpresso Board for LPC1769.
  3. Mousers disclaimer says it all. Images are for reference only. If you look closely the image is for an LPCXpresso LPC1343. The Partnr. OM13000,598 is for LPC1769. The NPX website says, however it seems some of the links point to an old description claiming it to be a LPC1768 board.
  4. The links both go to the same page. But if i search on 924-EA-XPR-003, you get the Embedded Artists Manufacturer, as the link shared is for the NXP one. I don't think there is any difference. Both are the LPCXpresso LPC1769 board.

    I`m back

    Welcome Back
  6. I managed to get them made for almost halve that
  7. Well i am glad i already have nIls's best work...the red pcb
  8. Seeedstudio blue?
  9. Yes, that is possible ofcourse. But i already soldered one. And i think this is more rugged then putting it on a pcb.
  10. I am going to check if this will solve my USB connector problem: If that works, i will be able to move the GM5x5x5 to the front of the case.
  11. I bought the enamel markers online from a "hobby" shop in the Netherlands. The markers are from a company called Marabu. Maybe you can find them online in a shop near you. So far i used them to paint the green pcb from a lcd black. It was in the clear acrylic case of my shruti-1. The green didn't match the red polivoks pcb so good  I also painted the metal hex distance bolts in the shruti. Which also worked out great. Update: today i used a white marker on my Shruti XT. It worked quite well and you can do the touch up with a alcohol based product.
  12. You are right. The upside-down approach did not work for me as i don't even have enough room for that. There is too much overlap of the two boards. So last weekend i have been designing a backpanel with normal din connectors instead of the pcb mounting ones. That way you can fit 2 x GM5x5x5. However the downside is the backpanel itself does cost almost 100 euro. Another possibility would be to make a separate pcb with 10 pcb mounted din connectors (and maybe usb). But i think you would still want to screw those connectors to the backpanel for additional support.
  13. I bought some Gloss Enamel Markers. They seem to be working quite nicely. And touching up is quite easy.
  14. I recommend you have a look at diy drumpads. With an piezo element and a trigger to midi conversion, you will have exactly what you want.

    MB808 switch

Did you use the E-switch 5500? and since when does the 808 use blue switches
  16. They have a 3U Slimline: http://www.modushop.biz/ecommerce/cat204_l2.php?n=1. A 4U is also available. It is just not on their product page.
  17. Yeah, NorthernLightX and myself bought a couple of cases there. They are very good quality items. Only downside i can think of is the standard backpanel with the AC connector hole already cut out. Which is ofcourse great, if you are going to build something with AC PSU. However with any usb powered device, you need to replace the panel.
  18. My educated guess on the location would be the Netherlands.
  19. I think the 9090 can only be controlled via midi. Like Antix, i will be waiting for this one.
  20. I assume with the MB9090 seq, you mean this one: That one is based on LPC17 Core and is with custom app. TK is adjusting his (PIC) Core8 code to make this possible. The upside on that is that you will have supported code  ATM I don't think there is more info available on the combined pcb TK and Kogz32 are working on. Connecting Switches to DIN4 Connecting leds to DOUT4
  21. I am trying to get these pcb made. The first offer i have is 80 euro :pinch: That's not even professionally made stuff.
  22. Yeah, i asked you (should have quoted you ) Oh goody 808 boards, are you using pcb design from http://xlargex.xl.funpic.de/?
  23. I decided to wait for this, before i start building. No need to torture myself  How does the 9090 sound?
  24. You can also buy ones with more pins and cut them.
  25. Happy Bday TK, hope it's going to be a great year for you
