  1. I could send you another complete kit - I am not going to split what I have already packed because I will be moving soon and most of my electronic inventory is already in boxes. I'll be traveling to Germany on September 7th so you could get extra cheap shipping if you are quick.
  2. I'm afraid this rather looks like a soldering problem on one or two of the pins on the ICs that are connected to the 7-segments. I am traveling until Friday evening so it is hard for me to diagnose remotely, but if you looked at the schematics in the Wiki you might see which are the pins at fault.
  3. Nice project! I have two old Electone pedalboards waiting for me to have some more time for a similar build... Are you going to build a separate case, or will this be part of a larger console?

This is actually a "midi2midi cables" case, just that the cable is already attached  . But yeah, I get the point, and fine that the solution was so easy  !

Actually, the "industry standard" is exactly like on your interface. Each device with MIDI ports has their MIDI port function (in, out, or through) printed on it. You always connect an out to an in port.
  6. I actually clicked that link and laughed my a**e off - thanks for making my day Altitude!
  7. The Wiki uses a different login system and new accounts are blocked because of spam bot attacks. Try contacting Tim aka SmashTV for an account.
  8. If you had 50m long cables I would probably agree... However, it doesn't hurt to use extra thick, oxygen-free pure copper cable  edit: sorry, couldn't resist :shifty:
  9. What novski says. Try to get support from the manufacturer. Although the name is the same, we are DIY people and create our own boxes. We are not related to your commercial box in any way.
  10. Yes, very fast shipping indeed - also received my stuff a few days ago. Perfect!
  11. Yes exactly - already have one like this in use. The depth is too much for what I have in mind, so I'll have to pass.
  12. Do you have a picture of these? Are these the ones with the single, side-open rack mount hole on each side?
  13. I think you can do that yourself by editing the first post.
  14. Resistance is futile... seriously, wire diameter doesn't play any role at all here. However, I would really recommend against a metal enclosure for anything that operates at mains voltage levels. You did not even connect the protective earthing conductor. Life can be so short...
  15. There's been an interesting story in one of the last issues of German computer magazine c't about active USB hubs that can damage your computer by violating the specs and feeding current back into the host. Hopefully this is not related.
  16. I wonder why you would rather "cripple" the software if a hardware fix has been found already? Apparently, there are HC125s around that conform to the specs, so why not use those?
  17. Sure! Just you noticed it was glossy, and I noticed the frame was not. As you say, my view might be limited .
  18. What kristal= said: the glossy panel does not seem to match with the silky matte profiles.
  19. Errrh, doesn't seem to match with the black profiles???
  20. Sorry I did not update this thread - all the boards are gone. If I get 4 people minimum I'll order another batch, please express interest in this thread. Alternatively, there will be another, much simpler "original" SCS connected to J10 (and for use with a 20x2 LCD) available in a few weeks. I'll open a new thread for these once I have them in hand.
  21. Lecker Electone Orgel! Ist die MIDIfiziert?
  22. In fact, because the BLM-X module seems to mess up the SR handling of SRs up the chain, I am using the BLM-Scalar module for my application. I have to address "normal" SRs up the chain, i.e. SRs which do not operate in matrix mode. Without this constraint, I guess BLM-X provides the perfect driver. With BLM-Scalar, however, I am pretty sure no full RGB can be achieved. But, one can mix colors already, e.g. yellow by switching on red and green.
  23. It's basically the same as you already have, just that yours is the smd version  !
  24. I don't know because I haven't tried. Having a full range of colors was not in my focus - I was interested in getting the basic three colors, which works nicely (the photos don't quite do it justice). I might play around with this if I find the time, or someone else does this (I have some boards left).
